[DEMO] Change the root password

Change the initial root password as soon as you get your VPS.

The password your VPS comes with travels by email. Change it as soon as you sign in.

  1. Connect over SSH

    Follow the first SSH connection.

  2. Run passwd

    bash
    passwd

    Type the new password twice. Nothing is shown while you type; that is normal.

  3. Check the login

    Open another terminal and sign in with the new password before closing the current session.
